Cameroun, Delta for Korean Ambassador, Nigeria Opens

Athletes from Cameroun, Delta, Imo, FCT and Kaduna are amongst the first to register early for the upcoming Korean Ambassadors Cup and Nigeria Taekwondo Open Championships, scheduled to hold 1 – 2 December and 9 – 11 December respectively.


200 athletes are expected to participate in each of the events, which are being organized by the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation, with the Republic of Korea embassy the host and sponsor for the Korea Ambassador’s Cup.

This is the first time that the NTF will be organizing its own tournament. Prior to now, events have been privately owned or the multi-sport games. Registration for both competition events is being done via an online registration portal through the newly commissioned website of the Federation, .

In-between the events, the Federation will hold its fourth quarter board meeting, Annual National Congress [to debate its constitution], a National Referee Course and a National Black Belt Grading. Events will end with a planned NTF Awards Gala Night to recognize persons who have contribute to the development of Taekwondo in Nigeria.

Registration is expected to close on 20th November 2017.
